In this case, the best solution was to have a 27,000 sq. ft. temporary modular building brought to the campus. This is especially true when the campus is operational, requiring that whole departments of faculty and students be relocated during certain phases of the project.

Constructed in Georgia, the 32 sections of the modular laboratory building were delivered to Newark, DE and fitted together on the campus.

Multi-Use

During its time at the STAR Campus, the temporary modular building will serve multiple departments as their building renovations are performed.  

Flexible Space

 The temporary building is designed with three separate wings so that the building can be used by one department or divided to accommodate several.

27,000 sq. ft.

The university can lease this large building for as long as they need it and return it when they have completed construction and no longer have any use for it.
