Thanking Our Essential Workers Amongst COVID-19
We work from home and self-isolate with our families. Everyday life feeling as though it has been paused. However, that is not the case for everyone. Throughout this pandemic, essential workers have rose to the occasion. They have helped our communities in more ways than we can even acknowledge. They are on the front lines, risking their own health so that the rest of us may stay safe in our homes.
Our Essential Workers
A nation’s strength is evident in the way its citizens handle the most difficult of circumstances. We are proud of the way people all over the United States are stepping up to help and support those in need. Packages are arriving on our doorsteps and grocery store shelves are being restocked. Hot meals are being prepared, and hospitals continue to help those that have fallen ill.
At BOXX Modular, we would like to personally thank each and every professional that is on the front lines; contributing their time and effort in order to keep our communities fed, cared for, and most importantly, safe.
Thank You To…
Healthcare Professionals Our nurses, physicians, and support staff. Without you, those that need medical care would be helpless. Thank you for you continued service and for putting yourselves at risk each and every day in order to save lives.
Law Enforcement: The protectors of the community. Thank you for showing up everyday to keep our neighborhoods safe. Some police officers are even helping to celebrate birthdays of children in quarantine, like seven-year-old Lucy.
EMS & Fire: Our first responders. Thank you for continuing to guard us and keep our communities protected. Many of you are volunteer workers, which makes your dedication and effort even more appreciated.
Educators: Our teachers. Thank you for your flexibility in moving to an online learning platform for children and college students alike. Your ability to adapt and the dedication you provide to our students does not go unnoticed. Some teachers have even gotten creative during the pandemic in order to help students who need a little extra help.
Grocery Store Clerks: Not all heroes wear capes. Some, wear aprons. Thank you to our store clerks who continue to work hard. Stocking shelves, assisting customer transactions, bagging groceries, cutting deli meats, baking bread, and more. We realize how hard you are working. You are helping to keep us fed and that does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
Home Services: Garbage Disposal, Mail, Parcel Distribution Our delivery workers. Every day you put yourselves at risk so that we may receive groceries in the mail or an important Amazon package. Each week ensuring that our garbage and recycling do not overflow. Thank you for keeping some parts of our lives running as usual.
Restaurant Staff: Although restaurants have been forced to close their doors, you have been able to adapt and find ways to feed our communities. Thank you to the cooks who prepare our food, the staff who assists with take-out orders, and delivery drivers. In some cases, you are even helping families in need by providing meals and services. We thank you.
Manufacturers: There has been a shortage on masks, ventilators, and other medical supplies. Manufacturers are stepping up and working harder than ever to produce more items for us. Thank you for your dedication and hard work in order to provide us with the products we need.
Pharmaceuticals: The importance of modern medicine. Not only are companies working around the clock to try to find a vaccine for COVID-19, but pharmacies are staying open as well. Pharmacists everywhere are working diligently in order to fill drug prescriptions for those who rely on them to survive.
Banks and Lending Institutions: Banks have played an active and positive role in helping both consumers and businesses alike. They are helping us navigate around this economic storm we are experiencing. “Most banks have addressed immediate challenges presented by the pandemic. By protecting staff, moving to remote working, and providing much-needed services to customers” (Forbes).
Fuel & Oil: Our gas stations, auto repair shops, and rental car agencies. We would like to thank you for keeping our cars running to ensure we can continue to travel safely when necessary.
Internet Service Providers & Cell Phone Carriers: Communication companies, even social media platforms, have helped in keeping us connected to one another. Although we may not be able to see our loved ones, they are only a phone call or video chat away, thanks to these providers.
Public Transit: Planes, trains, and automobiles. Last, but certainly not least. Thank you to our public transit workers who show up every day. For helping people get to where they need to be. Thank you also to our truck drivers, who may not be transporting passengers- but are shipping important cargo and goods for us consumers.
Most of us stay inside and avoid crowds or public places, but not all of you have that luxury. Your time, effort, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed. We appreciate your dedication to serving your communities. We would like to thank each and every essential worker who is serving on the front lines. Stay safe.
